Japan: Osaka + Hiroshima

Quotes of Paulette-san

"Convenience of a bottle, but it tastes like a can" Still need to get a photo of a shinkansen , they move too quickly!

Osaka Castle, not sure if this counts for Paulette's "only one temple please" register

"Why does he have a spade?"

"I don't have to pretend to be cold for a photo, I am cold". Heading to Miyajima

"Cool"

"I'm full" I really need to remember butaniku nashi de, [no pork]

"They all look better from far away."

"How did the goat get up there? oo there's another one." Ticks off one Japanese Bingo item.  Stop calling them goats!

"It's a shrine of canned peaches." Shrine with canned peaches. There's a significance to the peaches, but we haven't read it yet.

"Bit desperate aren't they ?"

"That's loud" Another item to check off.

"Stop shaming yourself" Might be a moving image if you click on it.

"Do we put them all in? What's this for? Maybe if we delay a bit we can watch what the people next to us do... oh, excellent, they  have no idea what they are doing either." We got through all 14ish oysters.

Miyajima:

Obligatory bridge photo at Momajidini Park

553m.

Japan is made up of a number of islands.

Panorama from observation area.

Paulette directing traffic up the hill. These guys weren't as tired as those that had brought up the replacement temple. This is also where we encountered our first Australians, they were from Brisbane.

Paulette playing with the top of  Mt Misen.

A monk performing a fire recipe. Then his mobile phone starting ringing and ruined everything.

Hiroshima:

For coke.

Food ordered from a vending machine. Luckily we weren't sitting for an uncomfortable length of time before we worked it out. More restaurants could employ this technique.

Pancela in the morning!

Thought Pancela was a pancake parlour so we walked to the top. A view of Hiroshima Castle.

Freshly built bridge.

Trees on the castle

Looking up to the Castle Tower.

Just like in age of empires. Rebuilt 20 years ago.

Looking out from Kyoto Tower
Very pretty gardens. Photographers could spend whole days in  here, pretty from every angle. Was also the very start of cherry blossoms.

Walking over the bridge, there were signs saying something. We assumed they were of the line 'please walk over me'

Keen photographers. Paulette constantly telling me that my camera is out of place...

Important culture questions: Do the cheeseburgers taste the same as back home? Yes.
Are the bears actually the original since 1922? They are little chewier, but that is probably the negative degree current climate.
