Central Australia

Nice lazy 4000km of driving. Highly Recommended. Next time we will take 4WD.
Lake Hart

Paulette is confused by the ventilation pipes.
Exploring NT, next exploration of NT must involve Darwin
NT seems a popular place to smash a car and burn it
Alice Springs
Telegraph Hill - looking towards West MacDonald Ranges.
Paulette silhouetted atop Trig Hill
Simpson's Gap

Stanley Chasm, not in time for the sun to be directly overhead. Much nicer than Simpson's Gap - although they try to make you pay for it. (i'm not suggesting we didn't pay for it, because we did)

Yes Luke, the Todd River is dry as a bone
Petrol up to $2.27 a litre - the downside of taking a 4WD would be needing more petrol than a Yaris, expensive
Made our way to the Olgas
Walking through Olga
View of Ayers Rock from the Olgas

Within the Olgas, the Olgas would rate slightly below King Canyon
From sunset carpark #2, looks di

Climbing up Kings Canyon - laziness and a 3hour drive promotes walking in the heat of the day
Scrambling over rocks
Kings Canyon highly recommended
Large enough dragon to stop traffic, almost ran him over

Driver change at Curtin Springs. Free camping available.
Unable to climb Uluru due to cultural concerns amidst high winds, we would have to create our own fun
our own fun, this monolith is at least 100kg
Brings back memories of years gone past? Joss needing a loo at  the top - ahh no wonder they shut it.
Wandering around Ayers Rock, enthralling? no.
While interesting, the definitive rating of activities: #1 Kings Canyon #2 Olgas #3 MacDonald Ranges #4 Alice #5 thinking about climbing Uluru #6 driving to Uluru #7 walking around Uluru

Eating our coat of arms + some. (emu, kangaroo, buffalo, crocodile, beef)

Waiting for the sun to set
Watching the sun set

Set*

(can't be sure, with so many photos and long exposure it's hard to remember the order of photos)

Nobody is ever happy driving home
